In Rochester, New York in 1983, a Heavy Metal act known as Fallen Angel was formed. The band was pretty short-lived and Fallen Angel was put on ice three years later. Almost 29 years later Fallen Angel was resurrected from its icy grave.

Fallen Angel's debut full-length opus, Crawling Out of Hell, which was originally released in 2010 on the band's own label Fallen Angel Records, has now been re-issued by Germany's Killer Metal Records. Crawling Out of Hell is based on the first part of a trilogy of novels written by lead guitarist and band founder John Cruppe and this album is the first part of the 3-part epic saga (the second is titled Cast Out of Heaven).

Both lyrically musically one notices right away that Fallen Angel have put a lot of effort into Crawling Out of Hell. This is very carefully crafted Heavy Metal with some Speed and Power Metal spices and strong dark atmospheres that swallow you in their fictional realm. The album has the tendency to grab you right from the first moment and holds you tightly through its entire 72 minutes. I am personally very pleased with Steve Seniuk's (aka Caleb - The Teller Of Tales) amazing vocal parts that really add an extra element of quality to Fallen Angel strong performance on this record. He sounds like a cross between Matt Barlow (ex-Iced Earth) and Dan Beehler (Exciter); in other words, just phenomenal in my sincere opinion. He's even able to do those very high-pitched Beehler screams that send cold shivers down your spine. Fallen Angel's true strength lies in their powerful song arrangements that reek of the brilliance of traditional old school US Metal. I'll be damned if Fallen Angel doesn't get all the attention they deserve for playing such top-notch Heavy Metal. If you don't check this out, you are not my friend.
