Over the last 13 years, Colombian Speed Metal heroes Revenge have put out several releases, both small and large. Revenge's 6th studio album, Harder Than Steel, was recently reissued for the European Metal markets by Germany's Iron Shield Records on both vinyl and CD.
Harder Than Steel is like a time capsule from the restless and wild years of 1984-85 Germany's Running Wild released their first two classic albums, Gates to Purgatory and Branded and Exiled. Metal, chains and leather; what else do we need? Revenge has done their best to adopt like Running Wild sound that made those two albums such ear-pleasing journeys 30 years ago. The music flows effortlessly and is almost sinfully catchy and infectious which should put a wide grin on your face. Revenge offers nearly 45 minutes of true Speed Metal that is almost impossible to resist. If you can resist then you must be sick, deaf or strangely incapable of taking pleasure in what they offer. Old school Speed Metal can hardly get better than this, folks. And hey, the Revenge boys have an ace in their denim vests; a cover of Running Wild's "Chains and Leather" from Branded and Exiled. If that does not make your day then nothing will.
