If you cannot find the right musicians to form a band and accomplish your musical vision then do everything yourself. That's what Roman Kartashov from Saratov, Russia, has done with his brutal Death Metal outfit Kraworath. Roman loves brutal US-style Death Metal à la Cannibal Corpse, Dying Fetus, Internal Bleeding and such. Uncompromising and mercilessly brutal, filled with savage and primitive aggression, that's what Kraworath' music is really all about. Instinct to Kill, the debut album from Kraworath, should please many brutal Death Metal fans out there especially fans of the aforementioned bands. Vocals, guitars and bass have all been carefully played but the programmed drums tend to make the songs a bit too robotic and clinical sounding. Roman should at least consider hiring a real human drummer for Kraworath. It would make a real impact on Kraworath's songs. Keeping in mind Kraworath is just one-man project, I think we should take our hats off to Roman's accomplishments and dedication. This is nowhere near as bad as you might think and, in fact, it is a pretty decent release. |
