World in Decay is the third album from Seattle, WA's Fallen Angels. It's a decent slab of mid-to-late 80s Bay Area Thrash and while I can't remember any of the songs specifically I do recall thinking the guitar work was first rate. The twin leads are fast and sharp, more than making up for somewhat yappy vocals. The riffs are traditional and sure to please fans of the classic era of Thrash but by no means are they inventive or daring. A safe pick for fans of Metallica, Death Angel, etc. |
