It's always a good day when a new Tsjuder album lands here, and Antiliv is no exception. The band has never been about surprises, and with this new album they stick to their proven formula, all without sounding stale. You've heard it and loved (or hated) it all before: Fast (sometimes insanely so), heavy, pounding Norwegian Black Metal that pins you to the ground and leaves you asking for more.

It's not just a wall of sound – a lot of the songs here are actually quite catchy, such as "Norge", "Antiliv" and my favourite "Demonic Supremacy" to name just those. It's not all perfect and some bits here and there are a bit too repetitive, but overall this is a rather diverse album, each song having its own identity hidden in all that sonic chaos. I've been playing this album to death ever since I got it, and just can't get tired of it. Antiliv is a safe pick alright...
