Primitivo unleashed their second album, titled World Out of Balance, in August 2012. The band's self-titled debut album was released four years earlier, gaining a little name recognition for the band in some South American countries.

World Out of Balance, a seven-track effort, introduces Primitivo as a relatively talented Thrash/Death Metal outfit as far as their playing skills are concerned. But then again, you may lose that advantage relatively quickly if you lack memorable and catchy riffs and choruses, and simply tend to come out as sort of an odorless and flavorless act, not making much of an impact or impression. I am afraid that's exactly where World Out of Balance sits. The songs on World Out of Balance clearly lack that final punch that would ultimately make this album stand out as a whole, even if they certainly do strive to make their songs sound punishing and all that. This time, unfortunately, they have failed quite drastically in that department. Just no matter how good musicians they are, they fall short on good musical ideas here and there.

World Out of Balance is like a pale bone on the ground under a hard and burning sunlight, not offering much and meant to be forgotten. Feel no regret skipping this, and rather invest your hard-earned money into something else.
