If a band has a song named after an English model ("Kate Mosh"), then there must be something special about them, right? German thrashers Skulled, formed in 2008, decided to use this opportunity to name one of their songs "Kate Mosh." You don't need to be a rocket scientist to understand that despite these German lads doing things a bit tongue-in-cheek, they still take Thrash Metal seriously enough and church out 10 songs of very blistering, crushing and crispy old-school Thrash Metal on their second album, Eat Thrash. The songs have a strong American Thrash flavor (à la early days of Slayer, Vio-lence, Anthrax, Metallica, Death Angel, etc.) stamped all around them, with some needed/essential Hardcore/Punk attitude, just to make things a bit more convincing.
Eat Thrash is the kind of a Thrash Metal album that shoots a silver bullet through your brain. I mean, Skulled seem to know almost too damn well how to thrash without any questions asked, just uncompromisingly offering such a punishing and hyper-aggressive riff fest that no one can leave unnoticed. Sharp and spot-on riffs basically seem to follow each other seamlessly (and nonstop for that matter), leaving no escape for the listener, just letting their Thrash flow on its own pleasing weight. Skulled thrash and thrash even more on this second album. It's a brilliantly executed Thrash disc. Fuckin' violence and aggression, baby...
Now eat Thrash... Yes, that mother-fuckin'-Thrash!!
