Assault Bombardment is the debut album of German Death/Thrash combo Dethrashion. They have been around since 2014.

The important question is whether or not Assault Bombardment worth your time? Well, I guess that depends on who is asking, right? If you like your mix of Death and Thrash Metal somewhat simple and sterile, then the answer is yes. If you are seeking a more complex and bigger production, then I guess it's safe to say you can skip this release completely because you will get neither of those.

Despite Deathrashion wanting to keep things musically simple and using the DIY types of values, there's still something appealing in their sound. In fact, Assault Bombardment sounds like a demo that's been released on a proper CD format, and there's honestly nothing wrong with that. However, it wouldn't harm them to focus on more striking song arrangements that would truly stand out. I mean, after finishing listening to this disc, nothing gets stuck in your head, which should indicate that something is missing here. At best, Assault Bombardment feels like your first cup of tasteful morning coffee, but when you eventually get used to it, everything starts feeling the same. It has its moments, but unfortunately doesn't have that desirable, long-lasting effect.

Simply put, this is a mostly Thrash-driven bombardment with deep death grunts and a true DIY feel to it. If that's your daily dose of morning coffee, then by all means taste this.
