The Thrash Metal revival seems to show no signs of slowing down... This young band named Igniter from Tampere, Finland, featuring three sweat and denim-smelling lads, released first cassette EP at the beginning of 2017. Without any hesitation, I first need to mention the arousing potential surrounding this 3-piece act. They are ready to conquer this world by playing rockin' and nicely groovin' Thrash Metal, akin to both Nuclear Assault's and Sepultura's early times (especially on "Useless Chase"). Igniter's speed-tempo-ish, rockin' Thrash Metal also owes something to Lemmy & co. and early Iron Maiden due to this Motörhead-ish good 'ole Rock and Roll element, plus the vocalist/guitarist's undeniable fixation with some Maidene-sque guitar lines (listen to "Nowhere to Run (F.S.T.S.)"). The guys' fresh and absolutely wild and relentless musical approach on Outruled by None hints at them having had tons of fun while penning down the material for their debut calling card. Igniter's energy levels go straight through the roof. These young lads are not into gimmicks, trends, or any other bullshit; they play their cards real, and they do it darn well. Definitely worth recommending! Now just thrash 'n' roll, you ungrateful pussyface...! |
