There are over 40 entries under the band name Nemesis on Metal-Archives, surely one of the most popular choices ever. This version is from Charlotte, NC and plays a hybrid Thrash style that combines the melodic riffing and high-pitched screams of early Slayer and Agent Steel with the barking vocals and staccato drumming of east coast Crossover. The guys know their way around their instruments but the songwriting is derivative as titles like "Zombie Assault" and "Toxic Plague" make plain. If Thrash is the air you breathe, you can pick this up and not be disappointed, but if there's a long list of "you've heard one, you've heard 'em all" albums somewhere, this one is on it. |
