Black Horizon play heavy metal inspired by the traditional stuff, but with a modern twist. I found the album pretty uneven with a few really good songs and some that are just average or below average. Sometimes things sound promising and then they take a turn for the worse, going into amateur territory and really not living up to the band's potential. The vocals are loud and clear and there's a mix of English and French singing. The last track has a long silence followed by some spoken nonsense and that just hurts the album even more. I've said it before and I'll say it again: Why do bands do this? Bottom line, there isn't enough here to warrant hunting this down. |
