Terror from the Air, the second album from Italian grinding death mongers Airlines of Terror is an interesting package of all things between Death Metal, Thrash Metal, Grindcore and even Rock'n' Roll. These four Italian lads have pushed the envelope a bit harder than many of their Death Metal comrades around the world. There are many cool twists and turns within their songs that at times makes you think of Napalm Death's harsh and groovy instrumental bombardment, while at some other times sounding more like Cannibal Corpse in the more technical Death Metal moments, but specifically due to Demian Christiani's mean and raging vocal parts as he does sound deceptively much like George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher from time to time. This Italian bunch relies strongly on the pedal-to-the-metal method, but they also seem to know when to use some breaks, and when it's time to turn right or left. But the bottom line is they never lose their main focus and kick ass from every direction. Check out Terror from the Air, if you aren't afraid of getting your Metal in a more experimental and unusual dose. |
