This is a nice trip back to early to mid-80s speed and thrash, with hints Kill 'em All-era Metallica, Slayer, Exciter and Razor, with a blackened vibe to boot. Needless to say, the album is an unrelenting slab of pounding, fast and raw metal that will result in you having to patch holes in your walls. The vocals are not of the cleaner style used by the aforementioned band but rather more along the lines of what you'll hear on death/thrash, while not quite getting there. It's a harsh style that makes it hard to decipher the vocals and it fits really well here. If you're in need of a good ass-kicking, Coagulating Darkness will do the trick. |
