I've reviewed the first couple of efforts from Chile's Lucifer's Hammer and have been pleased with the progress the band has made. That trend continues with their 2017 EP Victory Is Mine. Ever the Maiden fans, Lucifer's Hammer have really homed in on that twin-guitar attack with copious leads traded off between guitarists Hades and Hypnos. The vocals are still the weak link and this band could easily vault to the next level with a better singer. This EP was released in advance of the band's second full-length Time Is Death, which is available on their Bandcamp site. Here's hoping Shadow Kingdom or Stormspell or some other label picks it up for widespread release, as Lucifer's Hammer rocks.
