Rotten Death Metal is what these German gentlemen in Morass Skoffin offer you on their 7-song EP, titled Blindfold: rotten, unpolished, crispy and dead-limb heavy Death Metal the way the Germans have become known for in the last decade or so... And they fuckin' deliver! Even though I find the drum work rather clumsy (plus the fact that the drum sounds don't come out well in the mix), overall Morass Skoffin do sound ravenous and determined enough by hitting the right buttons. There's nothing groundbreaking about their delivery, but then again nobody is asking them to reinvent the Death Metal wheel, as it already rolls well enough for this German Death Metal patrol. Safe, but still a very well-made Death Metal album here. Do you crave something more? If not, you may want to check this out. |
