I like it when I run into a new band that shows promise. Ossuarium is one of those. Their death metal is not revolutionary or anything but it's very well done. Crushing, heavy, fast when it needs to be and with haunting vocals that just reverberate through the speakers, to great effect. I usually expect atmosphere more from black metal music, but Ossuarium do a great job of incorporating that into their sound and the result is, well, about as dark as it gets. Now, that's three songs. Let's see if they have it in them to write an album-full of these goodies. |
