Nihilism, death, anti-Christianity and yes, a lot of misanthropy flood Human Serpent's third full-length, and this transpires in the instrumental and songwriting parts masterfully. I (drums) and X (vocals, guitars, bass) ally with the macabre once again to present For I, the Misanthropist, a worthy display of macabre and powerful Black Metal, worthy enough to be mentioned alongside some of the better works in the genre from bands like Mgla, Satanic Warmaster and Rotting Christ. Frantic leads, lots of screaming and energetic drumming are plenty here and tracks like "Seven Billion Slaves", "The Scars of Millions" and "Us and Then" carry an emotional charge that works well with the overall sound and will surely provide to you a high quality experience. |
