This is a short and sweet little EP of dark-sounding, gloomy black/death metal. There's nothing that really jumps at you other than the occasional screech from the depths of hell. Both songs are kind of monotonous for the most part, but in a good way. The dark, haunting, evil atmosphere that Invocation carry through those two songs just feels malevolent and draws you in and won't let go. The vocals are just great, perfectly fitting the hellish atmosphere. Prepare for a descent to hell. |
