Well, this is something. This demo tape is limited to 33 copies: 20 black and 13 blood stained. It made me wonder, "what's the point?" but the demo is also available for download on Bandcamp, so at least it's not that limited after all – unless you want a physical copy, which all seem to have been sold on pre-order anyway. This band hails from El Salvador and plays some nicely done black/thrash: Raw, fast, brutal, harsh, and not pretty in the least. Now that's what I'm talking about. I like how they mix a more modern black/thrash sound with the old school, think early to mid-80s thrash with a hint of traditional heavy metal in the riffs. The vocals are filthy-sounding rasps that are mostly unintelligible and are really fitting to the raw sound. This is a very short demo that ends with an acoustic instrumental track that's nearly two minutes in length. I've found it unnecessary and kind of annoying, but I guess if you're playing the demo on repeat, it gives you a bit of relief before the onslaught starts all over again. |
