Holy barking raped dog in extreme pain... Now, this is something. Galvanizer are one of those new grinding Finnish Death Metal outfits that have understood the whole concept of how old school Finnish Death Metal should sound like in the first place. They manage to sound like they could have come from the golden era of Finnish (and partly Swedish) Death Metal, which is the early 90s, of course! Having been listening to the band's debut album, Sanguine Vigil, for the last 2-3 days almost nonstop, it's safe to say that this deranged trio has put together a murderously intense, brutal and compact release that's gonna be hard to beat. On these 10 tracks, they mix some of the best ingredients from bands like early Disgrace, early Demigod, Abhorrence (Finland), early Xysma and even Carnage and early Dismember. The result is one hell of a bone-crushing and body fluids scattering opus that seems to roll over all other releases of a similar ilk, to a fine, miserable dust. The band come out from the (old-) school with the highest grades possible, tightly squeezing a marvelously grinding Death Metal cavalcade of songs into 30 minutes. This is fuckin' underground Death/Grind churned out the way it should be in the very first place - HELL fuckin' YEAH!! |
