Envig is a Swedish Death Metal patrol, formed in 2015, that's fascinated by anything that is related to war themes. By Human Hands does not drop any bombs on our necks from far behind their defense lines but offers a nice throwback to the likes of Bolt Thrower, Dismember, Hail of Bullets and Entombed (the first two albums only), with a fair Crust vibe. So, expect a bunch of grinding, bulldozer-heavy and instantly crushing riffs, no frills no trills approach, a vocal delivery that sounds like Karl Willets and Martin van Drunen would have undergone a diabolic metamorphosis vocal-wise, and just a badass Crust-infused Death Metal from the hairy men's balls. What a beautiful sonic torture they have on offer here. This is stuff that makes feel you young again, urging you to go back to those days when Bolt Thrower, or Dismember hadn't raped the virginal ground totally yet. It's no surprise that they ended up covering Bolt Thrower's "For Victory" on this record. There you go... Cool stuff . |
