In my review of Bonehunter’s Evil Triumphs Again I mentioned that the album lacked staying power—good while it’s on and then you forget about it. Children of the Atom corrects that, as I’ve had quite a few bits of the album messing with my mind for a while now.

The band still plays its black/thrash fast and heavy and, while it’s not really anything you’ve never heard before, they do it right and kick ass all the way through. This album is slightly more "polished," sound-wise, than its predecessor, but that doesn’t take anything away from the furiousness of the music, quite the opposite. Once again they throw in some melodic, yet heavy and aggressive passages, which sets them a little bit apart from many acts playing the genre. If you’re at all into black/thrash, Children of the Atom is a sure bet.
