That is some busy death metal alright. Immolation circa Failures for Gods immediately comes to mind while listening to this. A loaded, somewhat muddy sound that makes it a little hard to tell some things apart, but in a good way. It makes repeated listens all the more interesting, hearing things you didn't before. The growls blend in this unrelenting onslaught quite seamlessly. The album is mostly fast paced but they do let the foot off the pedal on occasion, almost grinding to a halt and spitting out a heavy, dark atmosphere that just kills. I need to check out more of these guys' discography. Good stuff. |
