Two EPs and two splits in five years. Putrisect are in no rush to get a full-length album out. I'm not sure whether that's good or not. Cascading Inferno clocks in at just over 25 minutes and some albums are barely longer than this, and if that's what they band wants to do to deliver quality, I'll take it. Putrisect play their death metal heavy and crunchy and with one hell of a dark-as-fuck, evil atmosphere to boot, in great part curtesy of the sick vocals that sound like they're from the netherworld. This is really good stuff if you want to freak out an annoying neighbour. There's nothing pretty about this EP, it's just malevolent from beginning to end. Ooooh yeaaaah. |
