Hermodr are one of those one-man atmospheric projects that are insanely productive. Formed in 2012, the band has produced seven full-length albums, 16 EPs, five singles, four splits, and seven compilations, of which this is one—a limited CD pressing of two EPs that were previously digital-only releases. If you like Atmospheric Black Metal, then this is the kind of shit you are here for: Long songs, involving melodies, cold atmosphere, and a ton of mood. There are better bands in this genre, and Hermodr tend to be a bit too laid-back to be really gripping, but if you want some good mood music, then this is a band to look into. They certainly have a big back catalog to dig in on. |
