Fabulous Desaster is a German thrash metal band that take from the Bay Area thrash metal scene more than the German one. And yes, the band's name doesn't even try to hide their love towards Exodus: the band's second album, Off with Their Heads, continues the same Exodus worship they started on their debut album, Hang 'em High, in 2016.

Man, this is seriously some of the most entertaining and pleasing thrash metal that I have had a chance to fill up my ears with in a while. Their Exodus worship is evident, of course, but I really don't care much about this copycatting thing in their case because both their albums blow Exodus' last four albums out of the water (Let There Be Blood not included, as it is a re-recording of the band's classic Bonded by Blood album).

On OWTH, the listener gets a broadside of intense, precise, fabulously ripping and riff-tastic assault of old school thrash metal that is excellently catapulted out. Despite these harsh comparisons to one of the pioneers of the Bay Area scene, as a longtime fan of a German band Angel Dust I can also sense some of that band's influence in the riffing department. An album worth your hard-earned pennies.
