I almost skipped past this promo just because of the band's name. Ectovoid? That just didn't sound like something I'd want to listen to. Well, I'm glad I took a quick look because this turned out to be some damn good death metal. Inner Death is only 12 minutes long, but it's 12 minutes of non-stop, fast, heavy, pounding death metal with haunting, deep vocals that while "growly" are actually quite decipherable. Worry not, purists: the vocals are still anything but "accessible." It's amazing how Ectovoid sound so destructive while not sounding like a complete mess. These guys sound quite disciplined when you pay close attention. Order to chaos. Good stuff.
