Second album from orthodox Black Metal blasters Unholy Baptism. You would think this was pretty cliched, based on the band name, and you would not be wrong. This album does not contain anything Darkthrone didn't already do twenty years ago, but that's never the point of bands like this. On the scale of aping their influences, this band scores well, though on the scale of doing anything at all new or exciting, they only manage so-so. By the numbers Black Metal, you have heard a hundred times, but done well enough. |
