This is short and sweet, in a death metal way. Very busy, kind of "wall-of-sound"-ish most of the time and mostly tiptoeing on the brutal death metal side of things. The vocals are hit or miss, with some decent growls that sometime turn into a more "pig squeal" type that I'm not personally fond of, but it's still tolerable. It's not a particularly varied album, but it's not boring either. They're American and their sound is certainly influenced by some of the East Coast greats, so if that's your kind of death metal then Wurm Flesh is likely a band you'll want to keep an eye on. Nothing new here, just some well-executed death metal. |
