Epitome of Void is some straight-up death metal savagery from Finland's Refusal. They combine their death metal riffs and throaty growls with occasional blasting drums and rasping shrieks, giving their songs a blackened vibe. The songwriting isn't particularly inventive, but Refusal creates some decent atmosphere, especially on the closer "Void" where they vary tempos to good effect. You don't need to go too far out of your way to seek Epitome of Void out as it isn't going to blow you away, but it is solid death metal.
