I was hoping for a new 1349 album but, alas, this is not it. This 12-minute EP contains one studio song—the title track—and a live version of "Atomic Chapel". "Dødskamp" didn't leave much of an impression. It's melodic, which is fine, but rather repetitive and the vocals lines are also repetitive but also boring to the point of annoying. Multiple listens didn't change that impression. "Atomic Chapel" is fortunately there to save the day; a very good live recording that sounds clear yet preserves that live feeling, and it's such a good song compared to "Dødskamp", it hurts. This EP is really for diehards. |
