Hands of Goro features some members of Slough Feg and Angel Witch (don't ask me which ones; I suck at names) and their music is a cool and fun blend of heavy/hard rock with an interesting mix of '80s heavy metal delivered with the punch of heavier, more recent heavy metal, all packaged with that strong NWOBHM raw, DIY style that will just charm your socks off. The songs here are pretty damn catchy thanks to their strong use of melodies and vocals that instantly stick in your head. There's zero pretension here, just honest-to-god metal with air-guitar-inducing riffs and solos and pounding drums. I don't know what the plans are for this band, but let's hope that they keep this up, as one cannot get enough of fun, catchy and uplifting music such as this. |
