Gee, a band with the name Devastruction whose 2017 debut EP was called Alien Thrash Force Attack. I wonder what kind of metal they play? As you'd expect, Thrash Metal is the name of this German outfit's game. Specifically, Space Force One is an eight-track exercise in old-school Thrash with Crossover-esque vocals courtesy of Dirk "Destruction" Molder's old-fashioned, Bay Area-styled gang shouts, frenzied riffing, and even some nice melodies and solos. This doesn't reinvent the wheel or anything, but it does provide a lesson in straightforward, poser-crushing Thrash that kicks your teeth into the back of your fucking throat with songs like "Titan Force," and really, what more do you need? Damn good stuff. |
