The UK's leather-clad seekers of battle and glory, Risen Prophecy, are back with their third album, Voices from the Dust, and it's more of the Manowar-but-Thrashy Power Metal that we've come to expect. Catchy riffs, addictive choruses, and the acrobatic power of Dan Tyren's voice will leave you pounding your chest like a blood-soaked champion in the field of battle. From the ominous "The Tower of Shinar" with its menacing, Morbid Angel-esque midsection to the Iced Earth worship of "The Eyes of Hades" to the massive, anthemic closing title track, it's clear that Risen Prophecy have refined their distinctive brand of balls out Metal and created an album that won't leave my playlist anytime soon. Get it so it won't leave yours either. |
