This band is walking a weird line between a kind of stripped-down Traditional Metal style with a Black Metal recording job and raspy goblin vocals—maybe kind of like Wizzard but without the speed. Most of the stuff on here is at a slower, kind of marching pace, and there are constant backing keys that make it sound like a cheap horror movie score, which is obviously what they wanted. The production is echoey and low-fi, and it gives this a nicely occult vibe, but there's just not enough going on in these songs to make them especially interesting. It's not inventive or hooky enough to overcome the cheap recording, and not heavy or fast enough to be exciting despite that. It just kind of goes on and then stops. It has some decent riffs and a bit of mood, but it's not that impressive.
