A new album from Iron Curtain and when I first listened to it I thought this was Brocas Helm, with a hint of Motörhead and some of the harder-hitting NWOBHM bands. If you're familiar with the latter, or have heard Iron Curtain before, then you roughly what to expect. Old-school heavy metal with a garage-like attitude shouting out of the speakers, basic, honest, no-frills music that's nonetheless catchy and fun, bound to wake up the nostalgia in those familiar with late '70s/early '80s heavy metal when attitude was king and all this stuff was still just getting started. Hell, even the band's name takes us back to the Cold War. Press play and pick up your air guitar. Go! |
