This is a vinyl repressing of this band's two demos in one release, and I am not sure why. I mean, this is not bad, and I like Olkoth's murky, melodic Black Metal sound, as it reminds me a good bit of early Emperor or Limbonic Art. But I don't really know why we have a demo compilation of a band who have yet to release a real album yet. The first three songs on here are from the 2016 The Immortal Depths demo, and the other five are from the 2017 Treasures of Necromancy. As a whole, it's fine. I like this when it is on, but it doesn't leave much impression when it is over. |
