A kind of speed/death hybrid, Defleshed's Fast Forward only deceives me by its short length, and the absence of lyrics in the booklet (they're on their website).  At little over 36 minutes, I wouldn't have minded one or more two songs.  The songs are all pretty short since the CD contains 13 tracks - 11 studio and 2 live ones.  Yet, this is a very fast and heavy metal album, just what the doctor ordered.  Pretty raw sounding guitars and vocals that are on the borderline of trash and death make for an interesting result.  The drumming sometimes sounds like the drummer is hitting on a can as well as on the drums, a sound I detected while listening to the album in my car - loud.  That's a little annoying and requires a little getting used to.

Fast Forward is the type of album that you can leave in your CD player without getting bored.  No filler tracks thrown in, which may be why the album is so short.  The bonus live tracks are very good as well.  Makes me want to take a look at their back catalog.
