Second album from Mexican Death/Thrash act Diosdeira (apparently Galician for "God"), and while at first I thought it was awesome, repeated listens have revealed it's not that special. They try to inject some flavor with a Middle Eastern tinge to the riffing and even some slower, doomy sections similar to Nile, only they can't hope to compare to them. Other than that, this is fairly typical Death/Thrash with lame vocals, a production that's not as heavy as I'd like, and songs that try to cram in a lot of parts yet fail to be either coherent or compelling. Mediocre, but not without promise. |
