Well, this one certainly took me by surprise. Switzerland's Temple ov Perversion's debut EP is a massive onslaught of pure black metal savagery, plain and simple. Punishingly heavy and fast as fuck with barked harsh vocals that take no second place, the band still manages to bring order into chaos with quite a few catchy bits and some really cool guitar work at times. The level of savagery reminds me a little bit of Deiphago, but just a little bit more orderly (and sicker artwork-yikes! ?) It's 20 minutes of aural punishment that make you begging for more. I wonder if they can keep this up for a full-length album? Time will tell.
