Every time I see this band's name, I can't help but think this is some kind of laundry detergent. Just more proof that you should never judge by the name (or sometimes the artwork), these Swedes play some pretty damn punishing black metal on this short-but-anything-but-sweet album. This makes me think a little bit of hyperspeed Scandinavian black metal played slower—pounding drums, razor-sharp screechy guitars and demented vocals. They do have their faster moments, but that's nothing you haven't heard before and what sets them apart are the slower parts that really bring in some catchiness that makes you sit down and take notice, and that's delivered with a bit of a black 'n' roll-ish vibe without sounding watered down in any way. |
