I'm surprised by the number of singles being released lately. I thought that had mostly died a couple of decades ago, if not more. Anyway, Anvil have a new album, Legal at Last, coming in 2020 and this is a first taste of what's to expect.

There's really no surprise here. Put that song in the middle of a bunch of others from other heavy metal bands and, as soon as "Nabbed in Nebraska" starts, you know right away it's Anvil. It's mostly mid-paced and kind of chill, but it's deliciously heavy—this song really pounds. It's tight with nothing sounding off, a testament to the band's long experience but also proof that they're not losing their touch one bit. Gotta love that heavy and razor-sharp guitar work. This might not win over their detractors, but it should please their fans.
