Iffernet play a slow to mid-paced brand of tortured, raw black metal that's not without reminding me of some of the underground stuff out of Norway in the early '90s. There's a bleak, depressing, doomy atmosphere throughout that really gets to you, so nothing happy or rocking for you to hear here, folks. The vocals are harsh black metal rasps that sound just as tortured and lamented as the music. If you're feeling a bit too upbeat and want a good dose of tortured depression, Iffernet will deliver just that. |
