Unusual to see bands from Turkey, especially bands this good. Horrocious have a name that makes them sound like some kind of gore/grind outfit, but they are not. This album is packed with furious Black/Death metal with definite influences from Scandinavian bands like Lord Belial or Dissection, as well as fast, chaotic bands like Angel Corpse. Overall this is a definite Osmose sound, with a solid production giving clarity to an otherwise chaotic work. This surprised me with its quality, as it is fast and aggressive, but still packs a lot of hookiness and melody into the attack. Definitely worth looking into. |
