The Wake is a Romanian/German duo and while Earth's Necropolis is pretty short by full-length album standards, they make good use of those 34 minutes. Wall-to-wall black metal blasting all the way through, mostly fast-paced with hardly decipherable raspy vocals, the band occasionally slows down to a melodic mid-paced only to start blasting again. This is not as fast as some of the usual hyperblasting suspects, but they're not all that far behind. The melodies remind me a little bit of that of old Dissection, which is always nice to hear. Definitely worth a look if this is your kind of thing.
