This is a cool split from two French thrash metal bands, though Deathroned unfortunately split up shortly after this release. Both bands sport the kind of raw, barebones German thrash from the mid-80s, sounding a bit like Kreator did around that time. It's all unpolished, heavy thrash that nonetheless sounds a bit catchy and with some pretty cool razor-sharp riffs throughout and lots of speed, speed, speed. If I had to pick one band out of the two, it would be Deathroned, but both do a good job of delivering the genre. If you like mid-80s raw German thrash, this short 'n' sweet split will hit the spot. |
