Eighth full-length for this venerable Polish band. I really liked their 2003 album Imperfect Like A God, but most of their other output has not made much impression on me. There's nothing actively wrong with this album, but it just doesn't do it for me. The songwriting sounds derivative rather than classic, and the production is oddly weak this time, with a smooth guitar sound and not enough bite overall, so it just sounds kind of like a Death Metal album with the sharp edges filed off. This is good enough for some generic headbang fuel, but it's not very exciting. |
