Line of Danger is the second album from Russia's Blazing Rust. I liked their debut, 2017's Armed to Exist, and this one is in the same mold of rocking heavy metal reminiscent of early US bands like Dokken, RATT and Motley Crue, before the glam bug bit. The songs are all anthemic and upbeat, which is different from the last album which featured more variety, and none suck but none are anything that you'll be chomping at the bit to play again. After several listens, the only thing that stuck out to me was the vaguely southern boogie vibe of "Murder". I didn't dislike Line of Danger, but it isn't anything particularly noteworthy in a sea of similar releases available. |
