Debut slab of Death Metal from this Ohio band. I like the down and dirty guitar sound, I like the riff-oriented songwriting, recalling bands like Bolt Thrower or Carnage, and I like the bludgeoning recording job. All that said, there is nothing new here. The vocals of Marcus Hartford are so ridiculously hollowed-out they sound almost like a parody of the '90s, the songwriting is highly derivative of many other bands, and the album isn't all that long. Still, if you like old-school Death Metal done right, this is a band to watch.
