It has been six years since Children of Technology's last album, but it was worth the wait. The band has always been about punk-infused old-school thrash with kind of a party vibe while lyrically touching on serious topics. With Written Destiny, the band continues in the same direction, but they've turned it up a notch. The album overall sounds much heavier than their past work and that really brings their music up to a new level. The vocals were perfect for the genre in the past and that hasn't changed, but musically the guys have obviously become more proficient with some really sharp guitar work that is memorable in itself and the energetic, pounding drums just help bring the whole thing home. If this kind of old-school thrash is your cup of tea, then definitely give Written Destiny a try. |
